We keep prices low by decreasing our overheads such as a traditional store front. At EMPIRE we do not keep these savings for ourselves, we pass them onto other Islanders in the form of cheaper products. Funds also go to providing resources to the Guadalcanal community when possible.

As a Solomon Islander, I have noticed some issues for grassroots and regular Islanders in our nations Capital City. Being an isolated country, the prices of imported products are much higher compared to Australia, New Zealand and our other pacific brothers and sisters. This is a huge issue due to Solomon Islanders incomes being much lower.
My aim is to reduce costs of special imported items by not having a traditional business structure. To implement quality control and a guarantee that you are buying a good product when you shop with me.
By utilising the internet and keeping my overheads and rent low, I can decrease the amount that I charge other locals for my products.
If locals can learn to adapt to a modern shopping method - items CAN cost less. The market in Honiara is flooded by low quality, expired and faulty goods. For the price we are paying we deserve better. As humans we deserve better. This is the aim and mission of EMPIRE.
